Behavior modification is about changing how a dog feels and perceives the world around them. Dogs that pull, bark, lunge, shut down, or react aren’t “bad dogs” — they’re overwhelmed or unsure how to cope. By addressing the root emotion behind the behavior, we create calmer responses, better decision-making, and lasting change that carries over into real life.
This is not basic obedience or cookie-cutter sit/down/place work. Board & Train is designed to address the specific issues you’re actually living with — impulse control, leash behavior, reactivity, overstimulation, and real-world decision making. Training happens in everyday environments, not just structured drills, so behaviors hold up where they matter most. A private transition lesson is included at the end of the program, so you leave with clear direction and confidence on how to carry the training forward at home.
Learn in the environment that matters most: your home. Train Where Life Happens™. These sessions are fully customized to you and your dog — not curriculum-based or one-size-fits-all. Training is shaped in real time around your dog’s behavior, your lifestyle, and what’s actually happening in your day-to-day life. You’ll be coached hands-on, with clear explanations and practical guidance so both you and your dog learn together.
Puppy training is preventative training — setting the foundation early so bigger behavior issues don’t develop later. We focus on impulse control, bite inhibition, crate comfort, potty routines, obsessive barking, frustration tolerance, and calm behavior around people, dogs, and new environments. Early guidance helps puppies learn how to regulate themselves, build confidence, and navigate the world without fear, overexcitement, or chaos as they grow through each developmental stage. Basic obedience such as sit, down, place, stay, and fun skill-building or tricks can also be included, based on your goals.
Who
This training is for dog owners who feel frustrated because group classes just aren’t working — your dog is too overwhelmed in a crowded setting to actually learn. It’s for busy families preparing for a new baby, or owners who don’t have hours every day to train but still want a well-mannered companion. Unlike large boarding facilities with ten or more dogs barking nonstop, our board & train program is set in a quiet, in-home environment — just like yours — where your dog is the focus, not a number.
If you’re dealing with behavioral issues, obedience commands alone won’t fix them. That’s why we go deeper, helping you understand your dog’s psychology and teaching you how to guide them through reactivity, fear, and anxiety. This is for owners who want more than quick obedience tricks — it’s for those who want lasting change, confidence, and a calmer, happier life with their dog.
